- Develop, update, and maintain Nelson University’s websites, landing pages, microsites, and digital forms, including mobile experiences.
- Translate design mockups and brand guidelines into functional, mobile‑responsive web pages using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and CMS tools.
- Create and maintain program pages optimized for recruitment, clarity, and user flow.
- Partner with external vendors as needed to complete larger projects
- Oversee and maintain integrations between the university website and CRM systems (e.g., Elements, 25live, Slate), including inquiry forms, events, and lead-tracking tools.
- Implement third-party APIs, plugins, and embedded tools to enhance site functionality.
- Ensure fast load times, clean code, SEO best practices, and web accessibility standards across all site assets.
- Conduct routine quality assurance testing across all browsers, devices, and screen sizes.
- Collaborate with IT to maintain security, data integrity, and compliance with privacy and accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG).
- Perform updates, backups, and monitoring to mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Partner with Marketing & PR to implement branding, messaging, and storytelling across the website.
- Support content editors across campus with training, documentation, and troubleshooting.
- Assist with web analytics setup, tracking, tagging, and performance reporting.
- Stay informed on emerging web technologies, higher education digital trends, and creative best practices.
- Recommend new tools, workflows, and enhancements to drive continuous improvement in web strategy and user experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Master’s degree in a related field.

- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design frameworks.
- Experience with CMS platforms (WordPress).
- Understanding of UI/UX principles and design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud).
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and QA testing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
